After completing a degree in Pharmacy at Sydney University, I took over the family business in Parramatta.

In 1980, I then went onto purchase Elmore Station near Inverell NSW, and was really able to indulge my passion for breeding, starting with Limousin cattle when they were being pioneered as a new breed in Australia, as well as running a merino & fat lamb enterprise.

In 2004, we purchased Riverbourne, a property at Captains Flat and began the search for the perfect sheep and found the Dorper.

I think my connection with sheep started when I was about two, Mum tells me that I cried everytime I heard one bleat. Not very promising, but things did look up!

I grew up on a property in the marginal country of the Riverina, where dust storms and drought were more common than good years, s
till that didn't put me off.

Our purchase of Riverbourne has begun a journey of learning about the Dorper and being part of its evolution from a new exotic breed to a dynamic force in the Australian fat lamb industry.
